AKIE FUNAHASHI

Interviewer / Moderator / Communication Professional

I spent around 15 years as a news anchor in broadcast journalism — terrestrial news programmes, government productions, and reporting in Japan and abroad.

Since then I have expanded my work into corporate communications, content production and events. Today I work as an interviewer, MC and moderator, and corporate trainer — always with people and words.

At the heart of my work is careful listening — drawing out what someone wants to say, and helping shape it into words that sound like them.

WHAT I DO

01

TRAINING

Onboarding, corporate training and workshops.
Practical sessions in delivery, voice, listening and presentation.

02

INTERVIEW

Reporting, conversations and corporate interviews.
Drawing out what someone has to say, and shaping it so it lands.

03

MC / MODERATOR

Hosting and moderating events, talk sessions and corporate gatherings.

04

FOR INDIVIDUALS

One-to-one sessions to organise your thoughts,
and find words that are your own.
